This is the lot that will soon be where our home is!
That is our sold sign!

It took a few minutes to figure out what this little teddy bear was, but once she did, well the picture says it all!

She walked too fast for me to get the picture of the Elmo box, but she was pretty excited, as you can see below.

Adria had her first birthday on the 7th. It was exciting yet a little emotional that my baby isn't a baby anymore, of course I'll still call her 'baby' or 'schnookie' until she is thirty or older!
She had a great day. Cole on the other hand didn't like the whole idea of baby sister getting the attention. He helped her eat her little teddy bear cake and open the presents. The pinnacle of Adria's day was, by far, opening up her new Elmo. We didn't even know that she liked him until about a week or two ago when she finally warmed up to tickle-me-Elmo. Before that she was terrified of the little monster, now she is smitten! All of the other presents have more or less been taken over by her brother, what are you going to do?

Isn't she sweet? She is walking!

Cole doesn't like to pose for pictures, but I did manage to get the gist of his costume with this one.

Howdy little lady, Happy Halloween!

Mike and Adria at Cole's first school program where they sang songs to us and did a scavenger hunt.

My little butterfly! Of course it started to rain at trick-or-treat time so we only went to a few houses and the pictures were limited. I did a lot more with the video camera this time.

We finally carved our pumpkins today! Unfortunately, Mike was the only one that seemed to enjoy digging in and having some fun. Cole said he didn't want to touch it because then he would get "all gooey, Daddy you do it!" As you can see Adria didn't love the pumpkin either, she desperately wanted the camera instead.

Alas! We had two carved pumpkins...hey I never claimed to be a pro.

We also went up north to celebrate the big 4...at this point Cole was pretty exhausted but he powered through the excitement and put on a good show, and then fell asleep in the car at 6:15pm. What a champ.

Cole was able to celebrate his birthday at school too! We brought cupcakes in for him and he was sooo excited. Although I didn't get any pictures that day because I was at work, the next morning he woke up and said, "Good Morning Mama, Where is my crown?" I gave it to him and he told me about how he was the birthday boy and he wasn't 5 and he wasn't 3, he turned 4!

Cole's First day of school was kind of traumatic. Actually, the first week was hard. He has already started to say things that I know he has learned from those other, not as sweet as my boy, kids. I'm hoping that he makes some friends and things get better. It hasn't helped that he has had a terrible cough! He has made some crafts already, and he rode the horse the other day!

We went out to lunch with grandma and grandpa for Cole's 4th birthday. Everyone enjoyed the giant piece of chocolate cake! Don't fret, this is only the first of the 4th birthday celebrations, stay tuned...

This was supposed to be a picture of Adria's bed head, but you can't really see the extent of it. The pictures are adorable though!

So this is our family. Nothing prepared me for motherhood and nothing has fullfilled me more.

Actually, one of the hardest tasks yet was picking out just a few pictures of the thousands that I have of my babies. Don't worry there will be more. Let's face it, the pictures are the main attraction here!
